Our association with Herefords began in the late 70’s through TUMULLA STUD operated by Barry’s parents Max & Margaret.
 
In 1981 with our own numbers increasing, we decided to begin our own stud YUKON PARK.  Our females were predominately Tumulla and Kirraweena blood, over the years further females have been added from Gunyah & Llanglothan.

The stud has grown to number 70 registered females with the inclusion of 40 females from the Tumulla herd. The balance of the Tumulla herd plus the prefix has since been transferred to our sons, Mathew & Christopher following the retirement of Max & Margaret.
Their stud Tumulla will run in conjunction with Yukon Park.

Poll blood was introduced in 2005 with the purchase of cows and heifer calves from the Taradale dispersal. Further females have been added from the Studbrook and Denison dispersals and purchases from Red Rocket.

Yukon Park utilises Breedplan as a selection and management tool and all stud cattle have complete Breedplan figures.

Artificial insemination and Embryo transfer programs are also being used to focus on structure, muscle, growth and milk improvement. Current AI sires in use are GH Rawhide 78K, AR Adams Expansion 266M, CL Domino 252M 1ET, & GH Tamo Bushman ET99M.

We sell through the major sponsored feature shows and bulls are always available for private sale on property
